The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge

It is with such sadness to announce this will be the last sketch for The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge is closing their challenge.  The mother company Sweet & Sassy is growing so big that this choice was made.  I have used their sketches ever since I started creating cards.  I just love them and will miss them terribly.  I wish Sweet & Sassy the BEST of luck in their new endeavors!

This was a difficult sketch for me, I am the type of person to not go outside of my box and tearing paper is normally NOT something I will do.  With this adorable snowman image I found on the internet, it was appropriate to tear and it turned out awesome!

The sentiment is "Large Fancy Holiday" by JustRite® Papercraft.  My designer paper is from Hobby Lobby and my finishing touches are four cream pearls.

The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge With A Spin

This week on The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge there is a Spin and a Prize!  The spin is it must be Fall!  Of course this is the most gorgeous season we have, so many pretty colors.  So my inspiration was the leaves.  I really enjoyed coloring the leaves to make them look rustic and realistic.

The image and sentiment is from "Autumn Leaves" by Sweet & Sassy.   Cut out and color the leaves several times to have as many as  your need for your project.  The frames are the biggest and third largest of the Standard Circles by Spellbinders® PaperArts.  The border edge is Doily by MS.  My designer papers are "Thankful" by Authentique.  Any the finishing touch are three golden yellow pearls.

The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge

How can a nasty little bug become the prettiest butterfly?  My kids would collect and feed the caterpillar until they spun their cocoons and turned into one.  It was a lot of fun and interesting to see nature at it's best!  So I decided to get my last little bit of summer in on my creation for The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge.

The sentiment is "Every Day Miracles" and the butterfly is "Blue Morpho Butterfly" by Sweet N Sassy.  The frames around the sentiment is "Classic Circles" and "Lacey Circles" by Spellbinders® PaperArts.  The designer papers are from "Moments" by My Mind's Eye.  The butterfly was colored with Copic markers. The border edge was created using MS Doily punch.

The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge

For this week's The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge, I created this adorable birthday creation for a very special little boy!  He turned one on August 21, and his theme was zoo animals.  I just love this little boy, he is the son of two very close friends to my husband and I.

I cut and colored "Edmund Elephant, Little Leo Lion, Sammy Seal and Masculine Birthday Greetings" from Sweet N Sassy Digital Stamps. The frames around my animals were created with Classic Squares and my sentiment was computer generated and cut out with the Stars Five, both dies by Spellbinders.  The Summer Splash by My Mind's Eye is so bright and fun, I thought this paper was perfect for this circus theme.  To  finish this darling card I added a yellow grosgrain ribbon and  knot.

Here is this week's sketch, have fun and be creative with this one:
