JustRite Papercraft Challenge #70 - Pretty Papers

I created this pretty box for the JustRite Papercraft Friday Challenge #070 - Pretty Papers. The goal of the challenge is to make your own background paper using a JustRite Papercraft stamp.  I chose to use the pretty flower from "Cast All Your Cares" stamp set and stamped it all over a light colored patterned paper from The Paper Studio.  I colored my flowers with Copic markers, then cut 1 Spellbinder Label Seventeen from my finished background paper.

Next, I cut a strip from my stamped background paper for my box walls.  Then I stamped, embossed, colored and adhered the "Classic Scallop Border" and "Lace Borders" for the top and bottom walls. I cut a rectangle out of black cardstock, and the largest Label Seventeen out of ivory cardstock.  I adhered my rectangle to my ivory Label Seventeen panel, then constructed the walls of my box on that same piece.

For the top of my box, I cut out another ivory Label Seventeen (Largest) for the base.  Next, I went one size smaller and cut out the black piece. Then I adhered my stamped patterned paper to the black Label Seventeen, then  added that panel to my ivory base.  I stamped and embossed the frame from "Cast All Your Cares", then cut it out with Spellbinder Labels Sixteen.  Next, I stamped my sentiment in the center with black ink, colored and glitter the edges for my finishing touches.  I adhered that panel with pop dots to the top of my box.  I stamped several flowers from "Cast All Your Cares", colored and layered them for a 3-D flower.  Finally, I embellished with a black satin bow topped with my 3-D flower and decorative pearls.

  5. Love how you used the stamps to make the background paper. It is so beautiful that you can't call it "background". It all ties nicely together. Beautiful colors and shading. Such a great job on your project! Thanks for sharing your project.
